KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: September 17, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the <br />Contract for General Engineering and Planning <br />Services for Bowers Field to Century West <br />Engineering and Authorize the Director of Public <br />Works to negotiate scope of work and sign the <br />professional services agreement. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works produced a Statement of <br />Qualifications seeking to hire a consultant for <br />Engineering and Planning Services for Bowers <br />Field. Public Works advertised for said services by <br />issuing a Request for Qualifications in the local <br />paper of record, advertising for a three week period <br />in June, 2019. Four (4) qualified firms responded to <br />the request for qualifications process closing on <br />July 8, 2019. A review panel scored submittals and <br />three (3) firms were interviewed. Public Works is <br />recommending awarding said contract to Century <br />West Engineering. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution to Award the Contract for <br />General Engineering and Planning Services for <br />Bowers Field to Century West Engineering and <br />Authorize the Director of Public Works to negotiate <br />scope of work and fee and sign the professional <br />services agreement once negotiated. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
