Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />September 17, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Administrator on the <br />Benton Franklin Health District and Kittitas County Public Health Department. (Effective dates: July 1, <br />2019- June 30, 2020) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The purpose of this agreement is to prevent initiation and reduce use of nicotine products among youth <br />and young adults in the Greater Columbia Accountable Community of Health Region (GCACH), eliminate <br />exposure to secondhand smoke and vape emissions, and educate communities about Tobacco and <br />Vape21. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on August 21, 2019. <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on September 3, 2019. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Administrator on the <br />Benton Franklin Health District and Kittitas County Public Health Department.
