AGENDA DATE: September 3, 2019
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve and Authorize Chairman’s Signature on Washington State
Recreation and Conservation Office Resolution/RCO Project Agreement for
Hairpin Ranch Conservation Easement.
BACKGROUND: On September 4, 2018 the Board of County Commissioners authorized the
Chairman’s signature on the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office
Resolution/Authorization Form for Hairpin Ranch Conservation Easement. This
authorized the County to be a co-holder of the easement. Before you today is the
RCO Project Agreement which is the next step in the process for the acquisition of
interest in real property for farmland preservation pursuant to Chapter 79A.15 RCW.
This project agreement has received legal review.
