KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: September 3, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Awarding <br />Hydrology and Hydraulic Modeling Services <br />creating a Two Dimensional Flow Model for <br />Crystal Creek Project to Watershed Science and <br />Engineering and Authorize the Director of Public <br />Works to negotiate scope of work and sign the <br />professional services agreement. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works produced a Statement of <br />Qualifications seeking to hire a consultant for <br />Hydrology and Hydraulic Modeling Services <br />creating a Two Dimensional Flow Model for <br />Crystal Creek Project. Public Works advertised for <br />said services by issuing a Request for Qualifications <br />in the local paper of record, advertising for a three <br />week period in August, 2019. One (1) qualified <br />firm responded to the request for qualifications <br />process closing on August 22, 2019. Staff has <br />reviewed the submittal and is recommending <br />awarding said contract to Watershed Science and <br />Engineering. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution to Award Hydrology and <br />Hydraulic Modeling Services creating a Two <br />Dimensional Flow Model for Crystal Creek Project <br />to Watershed Science and Authorize the Director of <br />Public Works to negotiate scope of work and fee <br />and sign the professional services agreement once <br />negotiated. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
