KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Juvenile Court Services <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: 09/03/2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request to approve Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) Sub -Contract <br />with licensed provider. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Washington Juvenile Law provides a Disposition (sentencing) alternative for qualifying <br />juvenile sex offenders called SSODA (RCW 13.40.162). The program is implemented <br />through contract with juvenile courts. The evaluation and treatment portion of the <br />disposition alternative is accomplished through state qualified personnel. This <br />professional services agreement is to ensure a qualified treatment provider exists to serve <br />Kittitas County Juvenile Court. This is a long standing service provider relationship <br />repeated on a regular basis typically with the advent of a new state biennium and funds <br />allocated to Kittitas County Juvenile Court for SSODA. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Contract verbiage reviewed with department legal advisor & provider for the purpose of <br />establishing agreements for professional services as in this case between Kittitas County, <br />Kristi Hunziker and Juvenile Justice and Rehabilitation Administration (JJ&RA) of <br />DCYR Document reviewed and approved as to form by County legal advisor. Presiding <br />Judge of Kittitas County Superior Court reviewed and signed agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve Special Sex Offender Disposition Alternative (SSODA) Sub -Contract with <br />licensed provider. <br />HANDLING: <br />Request 1 copy with signatures to Katrina M:ankus and 1 copy of the fully executed <br />document to the BoCC for County Records. <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Attached is one original of the professional services agreement. <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court Administrator <br />
