KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 20, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing on September 3, <br />2019 at 2:OOpm to Consider a Speed Reduction on <br />Taneum Road East and Amend Kittitas County <br />Code Section 10.08.020 and Section 10.08.030 Speed <br />Limits <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public received a <br />request from William Stovall to consider reducing <br />the speed on Taneum Road East from MP 1.00 to <br />MP 2.84. Two (2) speed studies were conducted <br />and Public Works is requesting to set a Public <br />Hearing to hear public testimony and consider the <br />speed reduction from fifty (50) miles per hour to <br />thirty-five (35) miles per hour. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for September 3, 2019 at 2:00 <br />pm to consider a speed reduction on Taneum Road <br />East and Amend Kittitas County Code Section <br />10.08.020 and Section 10.08.030 Speed Limits <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
