AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC \ilORKS TO AUTHORIZß. ANOTICE
OF CALL FOR BIDS F'OR WEIHL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS: Weihl Road Improvement District No. 2018-01 was formulated by the Kittitas
County Board of County Commissioners with Ordinance 2018-020; and
\ilHEREAS: The V/eihl Road improvement project is an adopted project on the Public Works
2019 arnual construction program; and
\ilHEREAS: Public Works has prepared a plans, specification and engineering package for
improving Weihl Road for contractor review and bid submittal; and
\ilHEREAS: Public Works has prepared an Invitation to Bid and proposes advertising the
project in the Daily Journal of Commerce and the local paper of record for two
consecutive weeks (06106 and 06/13);
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, inthe
best interest of the public, does hereby issue an Invitation to Bid supporting V/eihl Road
Improvements and directs that the project be advertised for two consecutive weeks (06/06 and
06113) in the Daily Journal of Commerce and in the local paper of record.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Public'Works is directed to open bids on Thursday, June
20,2019 at2:00 PM at the office of the Department of Public Works, 4l I North Ruby Street,
Suite l, Ellensburg, V/ashington, to be publicly read aloud after 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 20,
2019, in the Department of Public W'orks, Ellensburg, Washington.
