BOCC AGENDA SESSION DATE: May 21, 2019
ACTION REQUESTED: BOCC Signature of mylar granting final approval for the Palomino Fields Division
2 Plat (LPF-19-00003 & LP -07-00031)
BACKGROUND: The Palomino Fields Preliminary Plat was approved on November 18, 2008
through Resolution No. 2008-160 (LP -07-00031). This proposal is for seven lots
on portions of 4 parcels (491033, 11800, 11801, and 11802). The subject property
is currently zoned Agriculture 5 and is located northwest of the City of Ellensburg
outside of the UGA in a portion of Section 27, T18N, R18E, WM, in Kittitas
County. Assessor's Map Numbers: 18-18-27020-0003, 18-18-27020-0015, 18-18-
27020-0016, and 18-18-27020-0017. The preliminary plat is vested to the suburban
zone which no longer exists in Kittitas County and allows for these smaller lots.
A final plat application was submitted by Chad Bala, agent for Cle Elum Pines East
& West LLC, on March 14, 2019 requesting final mylar approval for Palomino
Fields Div. 2. This plat encompasses portions of parcel numbers 491033, 11800,
11801, and 11802 creating 7 lots. Staff has reviewed the final mylar with
supporting documentation and finds that it is consistent. with the preliminary
approval documents. Additionally, final plat review has been processed in
conformance with Kittitas County Code Title 16. The 30 day timeframe outlined in
RCW 58.17.140 was extended per agreement with the applicant to ensure all
conditions have been satisfied. The mylar has been reviewed by all reviewing
departments, and all signatures have been obtained.
INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services, Public Works,
Public Health, and Assessor's Office
RECOMMENDATION: Signature of the Chair on the mylar for final plat approval of the Palomino Fields
Div. 2 Plat (LPF-19-00003 and LP -07-00031).
HANDLING: Return signed mylar to staff for transmittal to authorized agent for Treasurer
signature and recording.
