KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, April 16, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to submit a Proposition to <br />the Voters of Kittitas County Authorizing the continued maintenance of the Three Tenths <br />of I% County Sales and Use Tax to Fund Kittitas County and the incorporated cities of <br />Kittitas County for Criminal Justice Purposes. <br />BACKGROUND: There is a need to maintain services for Law and Justice Services in <br />Kittitas County and the municipalities therein and by continued funding of those services <br />with the sales and use tax established by Kittitas County Code 3.04 by three tenths of I%. <br />This Resolution is requesting the approval from the Board of County Commissioners to <br />place this proposition to the voters of Kittitas County at the Primary Election in August <br />2019. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved <br />this amendment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution to submit a Proposition to <br />the Voters of Kittitas County Authorizing the continued maintenance of the Three Tenths <br />of I% County Sales and Use Tax to Fund Kittitas County and the incorporated cities of <br />Kittitas County for Criminal Justice Purposes. <br />HANDLING: Please return one signed copy to the Sheriff's Office. <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br />
