ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to submit a Proposition to
the Voters of Kittitas County Authorizing the continued maintenance of the Three Tenths
of I% County Sales and Use Tax to Fund Kittitas County and the incorporated cities of
Kittitas County for Criminal Justice Purposes.
BACKGROUND: There is a need to maintain services for Law and Justice Services in
Kittitas County and the municipalities therein and by continued funding of those services
with the sales and use tax established by Kittitas County Code 3.04 by three tenths of I%.
This Resolution is requesting the approval from the Board of County Commissioners to
place this proposition to the voters of Kittitas County at the Primary Election in August
2019.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved
this amendment.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution to submit a Proposition to
the Voters of Kittitas County Authorizing the continued maintenance of the Three Tenths
of I% County Sales and Use Tax to Fund Kittitas County and the incorporated cities of
Kittitas County for Criminal Justice Purposes.
HANDLING: Please return one signed copy to the Sheriff's Office.
