Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />4/16/2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Approve resolution granting assent to DNR's use of airport property leased by CWU for storing helicopters <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />CWU leases airport property from the county. The lease requires County approval for CWU to let others <br />use the land for non-educational purposes. DNR has historically stored/landed helicopters on the property <br />during the fire season. The BOCC has considered this a public good and has granted that assent. This <br />resolution will give the assent again, and make it an ongoing approval such that CWU does not have to keep <br />coming back to us for this each year. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />CWU contacted me, as they've done in the past. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve resolution granting assent to DNR's use of airport property leased by CWU for storing helicopters <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />None. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Neil Caulkins <br />
