ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Resolution amending previously passed
Resolution 2018-148 awarding funding for grants pursuant to Law and Justice Council
recommendations on spending of 1 / 10th of 1% Sales Tax Reserves
BACKGROUND: The Law and Justice Council annually requests $5,000 from Law and
Justice Grant funds to be set aside for any special training opportunities that come up
during the year that will benefit the Criminal Justice agencies and this year the Law and
Justice Council has the opportunity to sponsor some excellent training on "Implicit Bias
and Cultural Competence," as described in the letter from Sheriff Dana dated March 4,
2019. The cost is $7,500.00 for two separate 100 person workshops that would be held
on May 10th at CWU.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved
this amendment.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Amending previously passed Resolution
2018-148 awarding funding for grants pursuant to Law and Justice Council
recommendations on spending of 1/10111 of 1% Sales Tax Reserves
