<br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br />Kittitas High School Boys Basketball Team <br />Washington State 2B Champions Day – April 10, 2019 <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas High School Boys Basketball team are the 2019 2B Washington State Champions and <br />only the third team to achieve a 2B State basketball “three-peat”; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: in the 2018-2019 season the Kittitas High School Boys Basketball team took first place in their <br />League, Districts, and then qualified for the 2B State High School Basketball Tournament in <br />Spokane, Washington; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: on March 2, 2019 the Kittitas High School boys basketball team defeated the St. George Dragons <br />for the second year in a row in the State Championship game by a score of 79-51 at the Spokane <br />Arena; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: this year marks the Kittitas Coyotes third straight 2B Boys Basketball State Championship Title <br />which is something truly remarkable for not only themselves, but for the entire county and State; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to recognize the Kittitas High School Boys <br />Basketball Team members Caleb Harris, Justin Hudson, Treyden Wilson, Jesus Velazquez, Baily <br />Gibson, Christian Mata, Cody Van Dorn, Beau Bryant, Blake Catlin, Dawson Byers, Martin <br />Arreola, Brock Ravet, Kolten Udager and Nick Patteson, along with their coaches and assistants for <br />their historically successful season, great sportsmanship, dedication, teamwork and love for the <br />sport of basketball; <br /> <br />WHEREAS: the Kittitas Coyotes boys basketball team continues to serve as both leaders on and off the court, as <br />well as ambassadors of Kittitas County while traveling throughout Washington State during their <br />season; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to request <br />that the citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring the Kittitas High School Boys’ Basketball <br />Team and Proclaim April 10, 2019 as “Kittitas High School Boys Basketball Team 2B State Champions Day” in <br />Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 2nd day of April, 2019. <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> Cory Wright, Chairman <br /> <br /> Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br />ATTEST: Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board
