AGENDA DATE: April 2, 2019
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing to consider amendments to KCC 17.61C
Solar Power Production facilities to add an Overlay Zone 3 and
Associated Overlay Map Changes.
BACKGROUND: Staff is requesting to set a public hearing to consider a proposed
amendment to KCC Title 17.61C Solar Power Production Facilities,
adding a Solar Overlay Zone 3 and update the Solar Overlay Map to
reflect the additional zone
The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing to consider the
proposed amendments on March 12, 2019 and unanimously
recommending approval with a 5-0 vote.
INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Community Development Services,
Prosecutor’s Office
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners set the public
hearing for Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Commissioner’s
Auditorium.
