Kittitas County will once again be celebrating "National County Government Month" in April.
To help recognize this event the Kittitas County Board of Commissioner 's office will be holding
th eir annual coloring/drawing contest which i s open to a ll elementary school children in grades
K-5. This year 's County theme is "Living Well in Kittitas Co unty".
The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners office will judge the entries that most represent
Kittitas County and theme. The Board of County Commissioners will award a pass to the 2019
Kittitas County Fair over Labor Day weekend to three students from each class who participates!
The entries will be displayed throughout the Kittitas County Courthouse beginning April 1st
throu gh April 26 th . Towards the conclusion of National County Government Month our office
wi ll contact each school who participated in the contest to schedule a time for a Commissioner to
either come in to a teacher 's classroom or at an assembly to give a brief award presentation to
students. The Commissioners will return all entries to their schools at the time of the award
presentation .
Attached is a page that can be copied and distributed to each child in your class. Please be sure
to that the students first name , school , grade , and teacher is printed at the bottom prior to
returning them to our office . All entries must be returned to the Kittitas County Commissioner 's
office no later than Friday March 15, 2019 by 5 :00 p.m. at 205 West 5th -Room 108
