Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />2/5/2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste Department request the Board of County Commissioners approval of the <br />resolution to Releasing Uncollectible Debt. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The Solid Waste Department has worked with Olympic Credit and have exhausted all means to collect on <br />the amounts owed the department. The Board of County Commissioners is authorized under RCW <br />36.32.120(8) to release any debt due to the County when the interest of the County will not be prejudiced. <br />Releasing this debt will allow the department to accurately report it's accruals. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Solid Waste, Olympic Credit and the Prosecutors office. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Boards signature on the proposed resolution. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Johnson <br />
