ACTION REQUESTED:
Kittitas County Solid Waste Department request the Board of County Commissioners approval of the
resolution to Releasing Uncollectible Debt.
BACKGROUND:
The Solid Waste Department has worked with Olympic Credit and have exhausted all means to collect on
the amounts owed the department. The Board of County Commissioners is authorized under RCW
36.32.120(8) to release any debt due to the County when the interest of the County will not be prejudiced.
Releasing this debt will allow the department to accurately report it's accruals.
INTERACTION:
Solid Waste, Olympic Credit and the Prosecutors office.
RECOMMENDATION:
Boards signature on the proposed resolution.
