ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing on February 19,
2019 at 2:00 pm to Consider a Speed Reduction on
Umptanum Road and Amend Kittitas County Code
Section 10.08.020 and Section 10.08.030 Speed
Limits
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public received a
request from Rob and Louise Acheson to consider
reducing the speed on Umptanum Road for a
distance of approximately 2.25 miles. A speed
study was conducted and Public Works is
requesting to set a Public Hearing to review the
results of said speed study and consider the speed
reduction from fifty (50) miles per hour to thirty-
five (35) miles per hour.
INTERACTION:
Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for February 19, 2019 at 2:00
pm to consider a speed reduction on Umptanum
Road and Amend Kittitas County Code Section
10.08.020 and Section 10.08.030 Speed Limits
HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public
Works

Section 10.08.020 and Section 10.08.030 Speed Limits.
