ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing the Chair's
Signature on Jacobs Engineering Amendment No. 1 to
Task Order No. 1 — General Environmental and Planning
Assistance
BACKGROUND: Jacobs Engineering is one of Public Works (PW)
engineering consultants selected in early 2017 pursuant to
County procurement process for professional engineering
services. Task Order No. 1 is nearing the $50,000 limit
established for authorization by the Public Works Director.
PW desires having Jacobs Environmental evaluate the
2019-2023 six year plan for probable permitting impacts.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution authorizing the Chair's signature
on Jacobs Engineering Amendment No. 1 to Task Order
No. I — "General Environmental and Planning Assistance"
HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works.

RESOLUTION NO. 2019 -
AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO TASK
ORDER NO. 1 WITH JACOBS ENGINEERING FOR GENERAL ENVIRONMENTAL
AND PLANNING ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS: Jacobs Engineering is currently a Engineering service provider to Public Works
selected from County procurement process in 2017; and
WHEREAS: Task Order No. 1 with Jacobs provides for on-call general environmental and
planning assistance; and
WHEREAS: The initial task order ($50,000) is nearing completion and PW desires
supplementing the original task order; and
WHEREAS: The current Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan contains projects that
have not yet been evaluated for possible permitting requirements; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on Amendment No. 1 to
Jacobs Engineering Task Order No. 1 — General Environmental and Planning Assistance.
