AGENDA DATE: February 5, 2019
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve County Road Project for the
Replacement of Big Boulder Creek Bridge.
BACKGROUND: A trailhead at the end of Big Boulder Creek Road
has compromised access due to deteriorating
transportation infrastructure. It is a non -highway
road in Okanogan -Wenatchee National Forest that
many people use for recreational access. Work will
replace the existing Big Boulder Creek Bridge.
INTERACTION: Public Works
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution Authorizing the
replacement of Big Boulder Creek Bridge.
HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF KITTITAS COUNTY, STATE OF WASHINGTON, in the matter
of initiating a county road project designated as:

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Big Boulder Creek Road Bridge, Road Log No. FSS 4330
Replacement of Big Boulder Creek Bridge.

This project is hereby declared to be a public necessity and the Director of Public Works acting as the County Engineer is hereby
ordered and authorized to report and proceed thereon as by law provided. (RCW 36.75.050, 36.80.030, 36.80.070).
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the Director of
Public Works' estimate, is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:
