AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: December 18, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Consider/acknowledge reappointments or NEW
appointments to the following County Boards,
Committee’s and Commissions: Airport Advisory
Committee; Fair Board; Kittitas County
Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee;
Public Lands Advisory Committee; County Law &
Justice Council; Board of Equalization and the TV
Dist. Board.
BACKGROUND: Currently the County has multiple vacancies on its
volunteer Boards, Committee’s and Commissions.
Staff advertised in June of 2018 & September 2018
for all upcoming and current vacancies.
INTERACTION: Staff published notice of vacancies through the
County’s Press Release application which sends
notice to the Daily Record, the County website and
its subscribers as well as KXLE Radio.
RECOMMENDATION:
Consider the Reappointments of Greg
Schwab, Keith Riexinger, Marlene Pfeifer,
and Steve Willard to the Kittitas County
Airport Advisory Board. Also acknowledge
the Chamber’s CEO recommendation to
have Brian Lenz in the role of ADO
Representative now instead of Ann
Anderson. These new 3 year terms would be
effective 1/1/2019 and expire 12/31/2021 for
Lenz, Willard, Riexinger, Schwab & Pfeifer.
Consider the Reappointments of Roylene
Crawford; Gerald Lael; Kristina Paquette
and Jodee Shenyer (term ending
12/31/2018), for a 3 year term to the Kittitas
County Fair Board effective 1.1.2019 and to
expire 12/31/2021.
Consider the Reappointment of Gayl Curtiss
(term ending 12/31/2018), for a 2 year term
to the Kittitas County Homelessness &
Affordable Housing Committee effective
1.1.2019 and expiring on 12/31/2020.
Consider the Reappointments of Bill
Essman, Dave Duncan, Marc Eylar, (terms
ending 12/31/2018) to the Kittitas County
Public Lands Advisory Committee for a 3
year term effective 1.1.2019 and expiring on
12/31/2021.
Consider the Reappointment of Crystal
Church, (term ending 12/31/2018) for a 2
year term to the Kittitas County Law &
Justice Council effective 1.1.2019 and
expiring 12/31/2020.
Consider the Reappointment of Ann Shaw &
Jessica Hutchinson (term ending
12/31/2018) for 3 year terms to the Kittitas
County Board of Equalization, effective
1/1/2019 and to expire on 12/31/2021.
Consider the Reappointment of Joel
Underhill, Randy Beckstead & Susan
Bangs(terms ending 12/31/2017) for 3 year
terms to the Kittitas County TV
Improvement Dist., effective 1/1/2019 and
to expire on 12/31/2021.
HANDLING: Staff to notify members of their reappointments
and new appointments to the following County
Boards, Committee’s and Commissions: Airport
Advisory Committee; Fair Board; Kittitas County
Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee;
Public Lands Advisory Committee; County Law &
Justice Council; Board of Equalization and the TV
Dist. Board, and to update the website to reflect
new terms.
