BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-J q 4 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLE ELUM, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />WASHINGTON FOR THE HOUSING OF INMATES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the lnterlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for <br />public agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage <br />from January 1, 2019-December 31, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Cle Elum, Washington wishes to designate the Kittitas <br />County Corrections Center as a place of confinement for the incarceration of one or more <br />inmates lawfully committed to its custody; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of accepting and keeping in its custody <br />such inmate(s) in the Kittitas County Corrections Center for a rate of compensation and <br />other terms and conditions mutually agreed upon by the parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the lnterlocal <br />Agreement attached hereto have determined to enter into this lnterlocal Agreement by <br />action taken at a regular meeting; and <br />NeW--;-"fHEREFeRE;-BE-t-,HERE8Y-RESCtVEE>~ tharthe-Bcrard-orCoanty <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the lnterlocal <br />Agreement for the Housing of Inmates that is attached hereto, and incorporated herein by <br />this reference, and which shall be forthwith filed with the Kittitas County Auditor pursuant <br />to RCW 39.34.040. <br />;}171 D I ADOPTED this _, ___ day of -{.t_Ll},1__ O-e 2018. <br />'\1 an <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />APPROVFD AS r FORM : c -l <br />Douglas R.
