Kittitas County <br />Public Health Office <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />12/4/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Staff is requesting approval of the first amendment to option agreement for package B mitigation <br />certificates. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County entered into an option agreement with the Schneblys in 2017 providing the Schneblys an <br />option to purchase up to 34 Package B Mitigation Certificates from the County if the County could establish <br />a water bank suitability zone in the area Scheblys own parcels above the Kittitas Reclamation District <br />(KRD) canal. Staff is working on this effort, but needs a 6 month extension to the original timeline to <br />complete the work. <br /> <br />This extension give the County until July 1, 2019 to complete the "Above KRD" permitting effort with <br />Ecology. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends the approval of the first amendment to option agreement for package B mitigation <br />certificates <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Erin Moore <br />
