AGENDA DATE: November 20, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Amendment #2 to the KITTCOM Governing
Agreement.
BACKGROUND: Darlene Mainwaring, Director of KITTCOM has requested
the Board approve Amendment #2 to the KITTCOM
Governing Agreement. According to Ms. Mainwaring,
Kittitas County Fire District 8 has been removed from the
Governing Agreement as they have merged with
King/Kittitas County Fire District 51 (Snoqualmie Pass
Fire & Rescue). The other Amendment is to increase the
number of Board members to serve on the Administrative
Board from 7 to 8. The additional Board member will be a
representative from Kittitas County Fire District 2 as a
stand-alone member and Fire District 2 will no longer
rotate through the Fire Districts Board member’s position.
INTERACTION: The KITTCOM Administrative Board approved the
proposed Amendment at their October 20, 2018 meeting.
As participating members of KITTCOM the amendment
has to be acknowledged and signed by each
agency/department/district.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve Amendment 2 to the KITTCOM Governing
Agreement.
