KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 20, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve Amendment #2 to the KITTCOM Governing <br />Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Darlene Mainwaring, Director of KITTCOM has requested <br />the Board approve Amendment #2 to the KITTCOM <br />Governing Agreement. According to Ms. Mainwaring, <br />Kittitas County Fire District 8 has been removed from the <br />Governing Agreement as they have merged with <br />King/Kittitas County Fire District 51 (Snoqualmie Pass <br />Fire & Rescue). The other Amendment is to increase the <br />number of Board members to serve on the Administrative <br />Board from 7 to 8. The additional Board member will be a <br />representative from Kittitas County Fire District 2 as a <br />stand-alone member and Fire District 2 will no longer <br />rotate through the Fire Districts Board member’s position. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The KITTCOM Administrative Board approved the <br />proposed Amendment at their October 20, 2018 meeting. <br />As participating members of KITTCOM the amendment <br />has to be acknowledged and signed by each <br />agency/department/district. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve Amendment 2 to the KITTCOM Governing <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 – Clerk of the Board <br /> 1 – Darlene Mainwaring, Director <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Letter dated 11/7/18 from Darlene Mainwaring, Director <br /> KITTCOM Administrative Board Resolution No. 2018-4 <br /> KITTCOM’S Governing Agreement - Amendment #2 <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Darlene Mainwaring, Director <br /> Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board <br /> <br />
