AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: November 20, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
Option of Renewal between Kittitas County and Summit Food Services.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County has a current Professional Services Operating
Agreement with Summit Food Services (Summit), formerly known as Consolidated Food
Management, Inc., in which they shall manage and operate the food service program for
the county’s Corrections center. Summit has expressed its desire to extend the period of
the agreement to December 31, 2019 as in a letter dated October 1, 2018. In this letter
they also indicated that meal rates will increase by 2.5% cost per meal based on the cost
of living increase according to the Consumer Price Index.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of
Option of Renewal between Kittitas County and Summit Food Services.
HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office.
