BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF WASHINGTON RESOLUTION NO. 2018- A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF OPTION OF RENEWAL BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND SUMMIT FOOD SERVICES, FORMERLY KNOWN AS CONSOLIDATED FOOD MANAGEMENT, INC. WHEREAS, the Professional Services Agreement previously entered between both parties allows Summit Food Services and Kittitas County Corrections to renew the agreement; and WHEREAS, the purpose of this option of renewal is to allow for the continuation of the Agreement between both parties; and WHEREAS, the Term of this Agreement may be modified upon mutual agreement of the parties in writing, including extension for additional one-year terms; and WHEREAS, Summit Food Services has expressed its desire to extend the period of the agreement as allowed, as shown in the letter dated October 1, 2018, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference; and WHEREAS, Kittitas County Corrections Center likewise desires to extend the agreement in the same manner and under the same conditions as reflected in the original Agreement as amended by the attached email; and WHEREAS, Summit Food Services is seeking an increase of 2.5% per meal in the rate paid over the 2017/2018 rates, documentation of which is also attached hereto and incorporated by reference as part of the letter described above; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the agreement between Summit Food Services and the Kittitas County Corrections Center for the period ending December 31, 2018 is extended, and the new Term of this Agreement shall commence on January 1, 2019 and continue to December 31, 2019.
