Approve a Resolution to Award the bid to
furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for 2019.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Public Works went out to bid for
the furnishing of specific snow & ice products
in accordance with specifications.
Bids were opened on November 1, 2018, at
2:00 p.m. Three (3) bids were received.

RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Resolution to Award the bid
to furnish Snow & Ice Control Products for
2019.

RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -
TO AWARD THE BID TO FURNISH SNOW & ICE CONTROL PRODUCTS FOR 2019
AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SIGN CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS: A Notice of Call for Bids was approved and signed on October 16, 2018, to furnish Snow
& Ice Control Products for 2019; and
WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on November 1, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the office of Kittitas
County Public Works and three (3) bids were received; and
WHEREAS: The Public Works Department recommends that the responsible bid of Envirotech
Services Inc. for Item #1 — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride; for Item #2
— Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Calcium Chloride and for Item #3 — Corrosion Inhibited
Solid Sodium Chloride; the responsible bid of Rankin Products, LLC for Item #4 - Non
Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; and the responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc. for
Item #5 —RoadSaver— Soil Stabilizer; be accepted for Snow & Ice Control Products for
2019; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best interest
of the public, does hereby award the bid for 2019 Snow & Ice Control Products to Envirotech Services
Inc. for Item 41 — Corrosion Inhibited Liquid Magnesium Chloride; for Item #2 — Corrosion Inhibited
Liquid Calcium Chloride and for Item #3 — Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; the responsible
bid of Rankin Products, LLC for Item #4 - Non Corrosion Inhibited Solid Sodium Chloride; and the
responsible bid of Roadwise, Inc. for Item #5 — RoadSaver — Soil Stabilizer, upon such terms and
conditions as specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s); and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the contract
documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said bidder(s).
