KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br />STAFF REPORT <br />November 6, 2018 <br />Request to Approve and Sign a Proclamation Designating <br />November 2018 as Flood Awareness Month <br />BACKGROUND: It is important for Kittitas County Residents to be prepared <br />for the flooding season. Public education and awareness of <br />what can be done to prepare for flooding is a helpful and <br />necessary step in the effort to lessen public and private <br />property damage and loss of life due to flooding. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Flood Control Zone District <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve and Sign the Proclamation Designating November <br />2018 as "Flood Awareness Month". <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Proclamation <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Public Works Director <br />
