AGENDA DATE: November 6, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request Board signature on Notice of Approval to Hear Property Tax
Appeals by Kittitas County Legislative Authority.
BACKGROUND: The Assessor certified the Kittitas County Tax Rolls on October 5,
2018 and delivered the Certification to the Board of Equalization
Clerk.
INTERACTION: After a 14 day waiting period, there is a 28 day period for the Board
of Equalization (BOE) to hear property appeals. This year there were
139 appeals submitted to the BOE.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve and sign Department of Revenue form REV 64 0049 to
allow the BOE to continue to hear property tax appeals outside of the
28 day period.
