AGENDA STAFF REPORT
AGENDA DATE: November 6, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Ratify the Director of
Public Works Signature Authorizing Additional Payment
on Kittitas Conservation District CWPP Final Invoice
BACKGROUND:
The Board of County Commissioners entered into an
interlocal agreement with Kittitas County Conservation
District (KCCD) (Resolution 2017-200) for producing the
2018 update to the County Wildfire Protection Plan. The
authorized expense for service was $20,000. During final
stakeholder review and comment, KCCD encumbered
project expense in excess of the approved $20,000. The
additional amount for service is $2,260.61. The Director of
Public Works recently authorized payment of the overage
and is seeking Board ratification of the action.

RECOMMENDATION:
Ratify the Director's signature on KCCD invoice for
producing the 2018 CWPP update.

Return one original to Public Works

RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -
RATIFY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR'S SIGNATURE ON THE PROJECT
CLOSEOUT INVOICE WITH KITTITAS COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR
UPDATING THE 2018 COUNTY WILDFIRE PROTECTION PLAN
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners entered into an interlocal agreement with
Kittitas County Conservation District (KCCD) in Resolution 2017-200 updating
the County Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP); and
WHEREAS: The authorized amount for updating the CWPP was set at $20,000.00; and
WHEREAS: Final project expense exceeded the authorized amount by $2,260.61; and
WHEREAS: The Public Works Director did sign the final project invoice including the overage
amount of $2,260.61; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby ratify the Director's signature on the final closeout
invoice from KCCD for the 2018 County Wildfire Protection Plan update.
