KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Juvenile Court Services <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />10/16/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />BOCC move to approve Chair’s signature to Special Sex Offender Disposition <br />Alternative (SSODA) Sub-Contract with licensed provider. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Washington Juvenile Law provides a Disposition (sentencing) alternative for qualifying <br />juvenile sex offenders called SSODA. The program is implemented through contract <br />with juvenile courts. The evaluation and treatment portion of the disposition alternative <br />is accomplished through state qualified personnel. This professional services agreement <br />is to ensure a qualified treatment provider exists to serve Kittitas County Juvenile Court. <br />This is a long standing service provider relationship repeated on a regular basis typically <br />with the advent of a new state biennium and funds allocated to Kittitas County Juvenile <br />Court for SSODA. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Contract verbiage reviewed with department legal advisor & provider in light of updates <br />to the agreement format used for the purpose of establishing agreements for professional <br />services as in this case between Kittitas County, Crest Counseling Services and Juvenile <br />Justice and Rehabilitation Administration (JJ&RA) of DSHS. Document reviewed and <br />approved as to form by County legal advisor. Presiding Judge of Kittitas County <br />Superior Court reviewed and signed agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />BOCC approve Chair’s affixing signature to the obligating document. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Request 2 copies with signatures are returned to JCA M. Stafford for final signature of <br />the service provider and the return of the fully executed document to the BOCC for <br />County Records. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Attached are two originals of the professional services agreement. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Michael Stafford, Juvenile Court Administrator
