KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />September 18, 2018 <br />Approve & Sign a Lease for Lot H-40 of the Kittitas <br />County Amended Binding Site Plan located at <br />Bowers Field with Blue Yonder Aviation, LLC. <br />BACKGROUND: On January 5, 2010, Teresa Sloan/James Foode <br />signed an "Assignment of Lease" with Kittitas <br />County. Teresa Sloan/James Foode assumed the <br />lease of Jack Dugan when they purchased his <br />hangar. <br />INTERACTION: <br />On August 15, 2018, Teresa Sloan/James Foode <br />noticed Kittitas County of their intention to sell <br />their hangar to Blue Yonder Aviation, LLC and <br />requested to terminate their lease for Lot H-40 of <br />the Kittitas County Amended Binding Site Plan. <br />This was completed under previous Kittitas County <br />Board of County Commissioner action. <br />Staff is now requesting approval of a new lease with <br />Blue Yonder Aviation, LLC at the lease rate of $.12 <br />per square foot for a yearly lease amount of <br />$824.23, not including leasehold tax for a term of <br />25 years. <br />Public Works; Blue Yonder Aviation, LLC <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve and Sign the Lease with Blue Yonder <br />Aviation, LLC for Lot H-40 of the Kittitas County <br />Amended Binding Site Plan. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Lease Agreement <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
