AGENDA DATE: September 4, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) review and
approve Grant Agreements with FISH Community Food Bank
allocating Homelessness Housing funds to help support the
community Cold Weather Shelters.
BACKGROUND: The HAHC received Grant Applications from Friends in Service to
Humanity (FISH) Community Food Bank requesting funding for the
community Cold Weather Shelters. FISH collaborated with the
Kittitas Valley Ministerial Association for this grant proposal.
INTERACTION: The committee submitted clarifying questions to the applicant and
invited them to an open public meeting on 8-29-18 to address these
questions. The HAHC reviewed the supplemental information
provided by the applicant and voted to recommend to the BOCC
allocating up to $70,560.06 for calendar year 2018/2019, and
$67,353.64 for calendar year 2019/2020, to FISH for the community
Cold Weather Shelters.
RECOMMENDATION: Review and approve Grant Agreements for 2018/2019 and 2019/2020
Cold Weather Shelters allocating Homelessness Housing funds.
