Agenda Date: September 4, 2018
Action Requested: Adopt a resolution to award VoIP Phone System and Services RFP to
Ednetics
Background: On August 27, 2008 at a regularly scheduled meeting with the IT
Department, the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners voted to
award the RFP for VoIP Phone Systems and Services to Ednetics and
directed staff to prepare the appropriate resolution.
Interaction: Prosecuting Attorney’s Office (SR#44092)
Recommendation: Adopt the attached resolution.
Handling: Return 1 signed copy to Jim Goeben.

RESOLUTION NO. 2018‐_______
RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE BID FOR VOICE OVER IP PHONE SYSTEM AND SERVICES
WHEREAS, Kittitas County Information Technology (KCIT) published a Request for Proposals
(RFP) for a voice over IP (VoIP) phone system and services in the Daily Journal of
Commerce on January 18, 2018 after receiving the Kittitas County Board of
Commissioners’ (BOCC) approval on January 16, 2018; and
WHEREAS, KCIT received ten (10) responses, eight (8) of which were deemed responsive and
timely. KCIT performed an initial review of the (8) responses and found three (3) to be
complete and meeting all requirements: All Phase, Cerium Networks, and Ednetics; and
WHEREAS, A review panel reviewed and scored the three (3) complete responses. The top two
(2), Cerium Networks and Ednetics, presented their proposed solution and equipment to
the review panel; and
WHEREAS, The review panel determined Ednetics be the vendor with the highest RFP response
rating, the favored equipment and solution, and the least expensive solution; and
WHEREAS, KCIT and the RFP review panel recommends the BOCC award the bid to Ednetics;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County,
Washington, in the best interest of the public, hereby awards the bid for VoIP phone
system and services to Ednetics.
