KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 21, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Consider the Appointment of Dr. Laura Portolese to the Kittitas <br />County Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: On July 31, 2018 Staff received an application from Dr. Laura <br />Portolese requesting the Board consider her for appointment to <br />the County’s Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On August 16, 2018 Staff received a letter from Debbie Myers, <br />Clerk for the Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee <br />stating that the Committee had met and voted unanimously to <br />recommend that the BoCC consider appointing Dr. Portolese. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Dr. Portolese to the Homelessness and Affordable <br />Housing Committee for a 2 year term effective immediately, <br />ending on 12/31/2019 (term is beginning part way through the <br />year). <br /> <br />HANDLING: Deputy Clerk of the Board to notify Dr. Portolese of the County <br />Commissioner’s decision, update public website and send <br />notification to the Clerk of the HAHC. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Portolese Application <br /> Portolese Letter of Support <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II
