ACTION REQUESTED:
The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes the Kittitas County Public Health Interim
Administrator’s signature on the MOU between DOH and KCPHD (Group B Ordinance).
(Effective Dates: Upon signature- Upon termination)
BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this agreement is to acknowledge that KCPHD has adopted Ordinance No. 2018-
011 (ordinance regulating Group B public water systems). The ordinance is as stringent as the
Group B Rule and KCPHD is fully responsible for the regulation of Group B public water
systems within its jurisdiction as provided by WAC 246-291-030 (a). The mutual agreement also
discusses the exchange of data and implementation between DOH and KCPHD.
INTERACTION:
Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on August 1, 2018.
Kittitas County Auditor’s Office: Reviewed and approved on August 10, 2018.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Board of County Commissioners’ authorizes the Kittitas County Public Health Interim
Administrator’s signature on the MOU between DOH and KCPHD (Group B Ordinance).
