BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STA TE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -J1-S <br />ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION <br />ADMINISTRATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AT BOWERS FIELD AND <br />AUTHORIZING CHAIR SIGNATURE ON GRANT DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently finalized the Capital <br />Improvement Plan for Bowers Field (2018-2022); and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works (PW) recently completed contract negotiations with Century West <br />Engineering for environmental services at Bowers Field supporting the 2018-2022 <br />Capital Improvement Plan consistent with a publically advertised solicitation <br />process; and <br />WHEREAS: The FAA has accepted the scope of work and fee negotiated by PW for <br />environmental services at Bowers Field; and <br />WHEREAS: The FAA is offering $302,470 in grant funding supporting the Century West <br />Engineering scope of work and fee ($332,080) at Bowers Field; and <br />WHEREAS: The Airport Fund (101) has sufficient match funds to the proposed FAA grant <br />($33,208) in the absence of Washington State Department of Transportation <br />Aviation Division grant funding; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chairs signature on FAA grant documents <br />supporting environmental services at Bowers Field . <br />DATED this 7th day of August, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />K ,_J,,OT"·_1_-,,._r ,c> COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />man <br />Attest: <br />~ice-Chairman <br />Cory Wright , Commissioner
