KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />August 7, 2018 <br />Request to Set a Public Hearing for August 21, <br />2018 at 2pm to consider a potential Speed Limit <br />Reduction on Tozer Road and Amend Section <br />10.08.020 of the Kittitas County Code. <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, Tozer Road neighbors requested a <br />speed study to determine the validity of <br />reducing speed at Tozer from 50 MPH to 35 <br />MPH. Public Works has completed a speed <br />study and is now prepared to share the results <br />with the Board of County Commissioners and <br />Tozer Road residents. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing to consider a Speed Limit <br />Reduction on Tozer Road and Amend Section <br />10.08.020 of the Kittitas County Code. <br />HANDLING: Return a Signed Notice of Public Hearing to <br />Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing, Vicinity Map, Speed <br />Study results. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
