KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Juvenile Court <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 7, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of lnterlocal Agreement with the State of Washington Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Washington State Legislature enacted statutory responsibility to create services for youth and families called BECCA (named after the child who died without the availability <br />for court interventions prior to the statute.) Those services include At Risk Youth (ARY), Children in Need of Services (CHINS) and Truancy. The AOC administers those services through <br />annual grant agreement with Juvenile Courts. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office has received the agreement and draft resolution for review in a timely manner in accordance with Kittitas County process. The Presiding Judge of <br />the Superior Court will consider for signature after legal review prior to the scheduled BOCC Agenda Session. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of lnterlocal Agreement with the State of Washington Administrative Office of the Courts <br /> <br />HANDLING: The Interlocal Agreement with Presiding Judge’s signature will be provided to AOC for their signature and return. A copy of the original Resolution will go to AOC. Upon AOC’s <br />response with the Interlocal Agreement an original will be provided to the Clerk of the Board.
