Kittitas County <br />Solid Waste <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />8/7/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Request Boards approval and signature on the Professional service agreement with Rhine Demolition and <br />Abatement. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Kittitas County Solid Waste separates concrete brought to the Ryegrass Limited Purpose landfill and brings <br />in a crushing company once a year to recycle the concrete so we can use the material for cover material and <br />roads onsite. <br /> <br />This year we contacted four contractors and Rhine Demolition was the lowest responsive bidder for the <br />work. <br /> <br />This work is schedule to start after October 1 and be completed by December 31, 2018. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Prosecutors office, Human Resources/Risk Management. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Recommend Boards signature on the Professional services agreement with Rhine Demolition. <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />Return a signed copy to Solid Waste. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Patti Johnson <br />
