AGENDA DATE: August 7, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and
maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles
purchased in 2018.
BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is purchasing bumper-to-bumper
service warranties and extended maintenance warranties that will save the county money
over the life expectancy of the vehicles. These plans cover the costs of all maintenance
and repairs, excluding tires and collisions, and are put into effect as each vehicle goes
into service.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved
this set of warranty contracts.
RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and
maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles
purchased in 2018.
HANDLING: Please return two sets of originals to the Sheriff’s Office to provide to the
vendor, one for them to keep and one to send back to us for our records.
