The results of the study will be used to determine the efficacy of alternative mitigation strategies in subbasins currently without suitable mitigation options (e.g., yellow and red zones). We understand that the parties have requested Aspect provide oversight during design, implementation, and reporting of the study results. Based on this understanding, Aspect will complete the following tasks: Task 1 - Preparation and Presentation to WTWG. Under this task, Aspect will prepare all materials and present the basis of the pilot-study to the Yakima Basin Water Transfer Working Group (WTWG). We will use the existing materials as the basis for the presentation. We understand the group would like to present at the May 7th WTWG meeting, requiring submittal for draft materials by May 30th. We do not expect an official endorsement from the group, but rather a facilitated discussion to get feedback and general agreement on the pilot study concept and methodology. Task 2 – Pilot Study Methodology Design. Using the existing narrative and feedback from the WTWG, Aspect will develop a basis for design. The design will not only include the physical requirements of the pilot study (meters, membrane bioreactor, cisterns), but also the approach, including necessary measures for quality assurance and control. We anticipate facilitating one meeting with key basin stakeholders (Yakama Nation, WDFW, Ecology) to review and discuss design details, including proper site-specific siting of the drain fields and supplemental cisterns. Proper siting will be important to ensure all potential tributary (i.e. Fowler Creek) impacts are mitigated. These services will be provided on a Time and Materials basis.
