AGENDA DATE: July 17, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Acknowledge a Change on the Kittitas County
Library Advisory Board & the Kittitas County
Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee.
BACKGROUND: On July 5, 2018 the Board of County
Commissioners Office received a letter from
Josephine Camarillo, Library Director for
Ellensburg Public Library with an update for their
membership representation due to the Bylaws being
amended at the end of 2017.
On July 11, 2018 the Board of County
Commissioners office received a letter from City
Manager John Akers regarding a change in City
Representation on the County’s Homelessness &
Affordable Housing Committee.
INTERACTION: Ms. Camarillo, Director of the Ellensburg Public
Library/KC Library Advisory Board Member has
asked that current member Maureen Rust move into
the CWU Representative Position leaving her
Member at Large Position open.
John Akers, City Manager has asked that
Councilmember David Miller Represent the City of
Ellensburg on the County’s Homelessness &
Affordable Housing Committee (removing Nancy
Goodloe).
RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge the Library Advisory Boards (LAB)
request to move Maureen Rust to the CWU Rep on
the LAB.
Acknowledge the City of Ellensburg’s request to
move Councilmember David Miller to the County’s
Homelessness & Affordable Housing Committee.
HANDLING: Staff to notify City of Ellensburg Manager John
Akers and City of Ellensburg Public Library (EPL)
Josephine Camarillo.
Staff to update County Website.
