AGENDA DATE: July 3, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Review and Acknowledge the Modification of the
Intergovernmental Agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service Regarding Adding
Immigration Customs Enforcement as a Rider to the Agreement.
BACKGROUND: The Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) have
had a standing agreement regarding the housing of USMS detainees at Kittitas County
Corrections Center since 2010. This serves as notice of the addition of a rider to the
current agreement, #85-10-00004, allowing Immigration Customs Enforcement to place
detainees in the Kittitas County Corrections facility at a rate of $63.00 per day. No other
changes to the USMS contract are being made.
INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has reviewed and
approved.
RECOMMENDATION: Review and Acknowledge the Modification of the
Intergovernmental Agreement with the U.S. Marshals Service Regarding Adding
Immigration Customs Enforcement as a Rider to the Agreement.
