AGENDA DATE: July 3, 2018
ACTION REQUESTED: Request for Board signature of the Ordinance authorizing a 2018 Amendment to
Kittitas County Code Title 17, Amending Maximum Lot Coverage requirements
within Urban Growth Areas on Residential and Urban Residential zoned lands.
BACKGROUND: On June 25, 2018, the Board of Commissioners held a public hearing to consider
Planning Commission recommendation on amendments to Kittitas County Code Title
17, Maximum Lot Coverage requirements within Urban Growth Areas on Residential
and Urban Residential zoned lands. The Board of County Commissioners voted
unanimously to approve the Planning Commission Recommendation, and directed
staff to prepare enabling documents. The ordinance authorizing these amendments is
attached.
INTERACTION: CDS, Prosecuting Attorney, Board of County Commissioners
ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance extending moratorium for six months or until standards and/or criteria for
siting solar facilities are adopted, whichever occurs first.

RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Board sign the ordinance.
