KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA ITEM STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 19, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a public hearing to consider Equipment surplus to Kittitas County's <br />needs and authorize disposal of same in accordance with RCW <br />36.34.080. <br />BACKGROUND: The following equipment is surplus to the county's needs: <br />E.R. & R. #185 2006 Sterling Sander Dump Truck <br />VIN# 2FZHAZE26AV76831 <br />E.R. & R. #187 2006 Sterling Sander Dump Truck <br />VIN# 2FZHAZDE66AV76833 <br />E.R. & R. #280 2005 John Deere 772D Grader <br />VIN# DW772DX599172 <br />A public hearing was held on June 19, 2018 at 2:00pm to consider the above listed <br />equipment surplus to the county's needs and authorize disposal of same. The Department of <br />Public Works requests authorization to dispose of said equipment. These items have been <br />replaced with newer models as authorized in previous budget proposals. The Department of <br />Public Works plans to dispose of said equipment in accordance with RCW 36.34.080. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Hold a public hearing to consider equipment surplus to the county's needs and <br />authorize disposal with approval of Resolution to Declare Equipment Rental and <br />Revolving Fund Equipment Surplus to the County's Needs. <br />HANDLING: Department of Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution authorizing disposal <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
