Action Requested:
Request the Board to approve a Resolution authorizing the creation of trust
fund #622 Private Water Bank Trust
Background:
On May 17, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners signed an agreement with Reecer Creek
Water Right, LLC (RCWR). Based upon the agreement Kittitas County will pay RCWR Twenty
Dollars ($20) per acre foot per month for any water used by the County.
In order for the County to collect these funds we have to create a fund to hold these funds in trust
before we remit them quarterly to RCWR.
This fund will be used to account separately any future private water banks.
Recommendation
Recommend the Board to approve a Resolution authorizing the creation of trust
fund #622 Private Water Bank Trust
