PROCLAMATION
Ellensburg High School Boys Baseball
2018 2A State Champions Day – June 22, 2018
WHEREAS: the Ellensburg High School Baseball team had an overall record of 22 wins and 4 losses
during their 2018 season; and
WHEREAS: the Ellensburg High School Baseball team qualified for the 2A State Baseball Tournament
in Yakima, Washington and on May 26, 2018 they defeated Mountlake Terrace in the State
Championship game by a score of 2-1; and
WHEREAS: this year marks the Ellensburg Bulldogs second straight 2A Baseball State Championship
Title, which is something truly remarkable for not only themselves but for the entire
community; and
WHEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to recognize the following
Ellensburg High School Baseball team members Trace Townsend, Gage Gibson, Dillon
Young, Greyson McLeod, Damon McLaughlin, Jadon Bugni, Matt Phillips, Riley Seed,
Tyler Polacek, Cade Stevenson, Ty Morrill, Gavin Gibson, Brady Gibson, Brady
Helgeson, Conner Wing, Davis Spencer, Karson Keaton, Hunter Gibson, Max Burnum,
and Jacob Roseberry; along with their coaches and assistants for their accomplishments as
well as their hard work, dedication, teamwork and love for the sport of baseball; and
WHEREAS: these young men not only brought home another State Championship title for their school,
but they also served as ambassadors of Kittitas County as they played throughout their
season;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of Commissioners would like to request that the
citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring the 2018 Ellensburg High School
Baseball team and Proclaim June 22, 2018 as “Ellensburg High School Baseball - 2A State Champions
Day” in Kittitas County.
