RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -0 7 5°
UPDATING THE FEDERAL A VIA TI ON ADMINISTRATION DISADVANTAGED
BUSINESS ENTERPRISE POLICY FOR BOWERS FIELD
WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners previously approved a disadvantaged
business enterprise (DBE) policy under Resolution No. 2016-029 as required
by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA); and
WHEREAS: Public Works is submitting airport aid applications for projects at Bowers
Field; and
WHEREAS: The current DBE policy is set to expire and needs updated to the current FAA
template; and
WHEREAS: The adoption of a new DBE policy is required as a condition of airport aid
application award, if successful; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby adopt the updated Bower's Field
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Policy for use for all airport improvement
projects; and
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners directs the DBE
Liaison Officer, Ms. Candie Leader, sign the updated Federal Aviation
Administration DBE Policy on behalf of the Board of County
Commissioners.
