RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -~
TITLE: Ratify the Vice Chairman's Signature on Recent Federal Lands Access Program
Grant Applications
WHEREAS: The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) recently solicited communities for
potential Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) projects for possible grant
award; and
WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works prepared two grant applications to the federal
grant program (Manastash Snow Park and Teanaway Dickey Creek Bridge
Replacement); and
WHEREAS: Grant deadlines did not allow for presentation to the full Board of County
Commissioners prior to grant submittal; and
WHEREAS: The United States Forest Service rejected the Department's Director's signature
on the grant applications; and
WHEREAS: The Vice Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners consented to affix his
signature on the grant applications satisfying grant submittal requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the
best interest of the public, does hereby ratify the Vice Chairman's signature on two recent
FHW A FLAP grant applications.
