Authorizing the Chair signature on the Digital Submittal of
Levy Certification to the County Road Administration Board
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has met and considered its budget for the calendar
year 2018; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has resolved (Res # 2017-190) the levying
certification for the County Road for municipal purposes of Kittitas County; and
WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works is required (WAC 136-04) to submit an annual digital certification to
the County Road Administration Board (Exhibit 1); and
WHEREAS: The County Road Administration Board digital submittal certification requires a signature from the
Board of County Commissioners Chair; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, after due consideration and
in the best interest of the public, does hereby declare to move to authorize Chair signature on the
Digital Submittal Certification to the County Road Administration Board.

Note: WAC 136-150-021 provides that "The CRABoard will request that every county legislative authority
submit a certification showing the amount of the road levy fixed and the amount, if any, budgeted in
accordance with RCW 36 .33.220 for traffic law enforcement and/or any other purpose from diverted road
levy no later than February 1 st of each year".

A Resolution for the levying certification for the County Road
for municipal purposes of Kittitas County, Washington for the year 2018 according
to the assessed valuation as determined in the year 2017.
WHEREAS. Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners has met and considered its budget for
the calendar year 2018; and
WHEREAS. the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners, after hearing and after duly
considering all relevant evidence and testimony presented, and
NOW. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED. in accordance with RCW 84 .52 .020 , the Board of County
CQmmissi one rs f or Kitt itas C ounty, do hereby certify th at t he .fo llowi ng levy am ounts be coll ected in 2018 as
provided in th e County's budget, which was adopted foll owing a pu blic 'hearing held on De cember' 8th , 2017 :

NOW. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Board of County Commissioners does hereby authorize a
County Road Diversion to the General Fund in the amount of $200,000 and a levy shift from County Road to
the General Fund in the amount of $889, 137.
