BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -.£2 L8 <br />TITLE: AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO NEGOTIATE A <br />SCOPE OF WORK AND FEE PROVIDING ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES <br />SUPPORTING THE 2018-2023 BOWERS FIELD CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN <br />WHEREAS: The Public Works Department has received approval of its proposed capital <br />improvement plan for Bowers Field from the Federal Aviation Administration, <br />and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners directed Public Works advertise for <br />professional services by issuing a Request for Qualifications in the local paper of <br />record; and <br />WHEREAS: Three (3) qualified firms responded to the request for qualifications process <br />closing on December 15,2017; and <br />WHEREAS: A review committee of Public Works evaluated each proposal and a majority of <br />reviewers has selected Century West Engineering as the preferred firm providing <br />Environmental services supporting the 2018-2023 Airport Improvement Plan <br />(ACIP); and <br />WHEREAS: The Federal Aviation Administration has offered to pay for an acceptable scope of <br />work and fee developed by the County for 2018-2023 ACIP environmental <br />serVIces; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Director of Public Works negotiate a scope <br />of work and fee from Century West Engineering for environmental support services supporting <br />the 2018-2023 Airport Capital Improvement Plan for Bowers Field. <br />DATED this 6th day of February, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
